AntiFreeze is a task manager for when things get rough. If you are a Windows user, chances are that you have experienced a system meltdown that leaves you with a frozen screen and nothing you can do about it. This application could be a solution. AntiFreeze is a last resort for making your system responsive again. When applications use a lot of memory or CPU or you open many of them at the same time, the system will become unresponsive. If you install AntiFreeze, you can press the hotkey for the application whenever your system crashes. It will halt all the processes and running applications that are not critical for your system's operation and pop-up a sort of task manager. From there, you can pinpoint exactly where the problem is coming from. AntiFreeze lists all the running processes and you can infer which one of them is causing the problem. Then, you can simply terminate the process by hitting the "End process" button, a la Windows Task Manager. Now, this won't work every single time that your system crashes, simply because it is Windows after all. It is supposed to crash and annoy you. But it will work when the problem is a system hog. The latest version of this application is 1.01. However, this review deals with version 1.0.
